Kontokali still has the traditional atmosphere of an old fishing village untouched by time.
Kontokali is quite summer place with restaurants and bars and is connected with nearby Gouvia. Both are very popular tourist summer resort and nowadays the fully equipped marina is one of the best in the Mediterranean.

On the edge of marina, towards Gouvia are the ruins of the old Venetian dockyard, which prove to be an imposing structure beside modern technology. On road\'s lining, both sides of the road, which joins the resorts, there is an abundance of shops, tourist and information offices, shipping agencies, rental offices for cars and bikes, a large selection of music bars, traditional taverns with tastes from all over the world plus a children\'s playground by the square.

Do not forget to visit The Corfu Town (6km from Kontokali). You can use bus line going every half an hour from the main road.
